Eolas Medical – My Medical explainer video

Healthcare SaaS Simplified: How INX Films Made ‘My Medical’ Feel Real and Relatable

Mission

When an entrepreneur starts building out a digital product, they know exactly what problems they want to solve, and they know there is no truly simple solution those problems. So they move mountains to create the best and most versatile software they can… And they succeed. It checks all the boxes, it is feature-rich, it can adapt to solve all the problems it was meant to tackle. But while the people they convince to try it love its versatility, many more just see that as unneeded complexity. So what do you do? Well, Eolas Medical sought out INX Films’ expertise in translating complex products into clear and straight-forward videos.

Outcome

Together, we’ve created a short branded explainer video that could be rearranged on-the-fly depending on who Eolas’ sales department’s audience was.

Impact

Something something with numbers

As for Eolas Medical, this wasn’t their first time partnering up with a video producer, which meant they appreciated our clear communication and transparent production process even more.

For three years, Eolas Medical have been developing My Medical, a SaaS platform that offered a wide range of features to help all kinds of healthcare organizations better manage their operations and communicate with both employees, as well as patients.

However, even though they invested a lot of time, energy and money into streamlining the features and the user experience, health organization leaders still seemed reluctant to give My Medical a try. The issue, as it turned out, was that My Medical’s strongest superpowers - its feature-richness and ability to adapt to any kind of health org - were perceived as making the platform too complicated to look into.

Eolas wanted to fight this perception, and one of the things they knew they needed in order to win this battle was a proper explainer video. After a some attempts at finding the right video production partner, they encountered INX Films and didn’t look back.

The Process

We began by setting clear production steps and stakeholder touchpoints to ensure Eolas Medical could easily track the process. During scripting scripting, we aimed for simplicity, highlighting 10 key features with concise voiceover paragraphs to meet Eolas' request for a short, impactful video.

Storyboarding posed the challenge of demonstrating the platform as both intuitive and practical, so we developed mock-ups combining realistic 3D renders, stock imagery and abstract spaces. The realistic renders and stock imagery would focus on showing My Medical's features in real-world contexts, such as on a hospital monitor, a doctor’s tablet, or a phone notification, to make the software more relatable, while the abstract spaces outlined specific features, workflows and use cases, proving how easy to understand and use they all are.

Animation brought the vision to life, but rendering and delivery required extra care. To meet Eolas Medical's need for flexibility during sales presentations, we created 14 different versions of the video, each targeting specific healthcare departments, and then we split each of those further into 10 feature-specific clips. This modular approach allowed Eolas Medical to tailor the video to different audiences on-the-fly, while maintaining still its polished, professional feel.

The Outcome

The result was a modular explainer video that blended together 2D and 3D animation, all while explaining an extremely powerful and feature-rich platform in a friendly and gentle manner.

The Impact

But the results we were most proud of? The people over at Eolas Medical praised the clarity of INX Film’s production process, as well as how hassle-free it was for them to provide the feedback that was integrated into the project.
