Making Quality Videos Scalable
How a custom production process turned generic screen recordings into scalable brand videos
Office Timeline & RomSoft
Office Timeline and their partners at RomSoft wanted to upgrade their software's simple screen recorded demos and support videos to proper on-brand marketing videos in a scalable way.
We helped them by building a custom video editing template system and a compact live-action studio that elevated their content to match their brand's professional standards, all without extending production time.

The Process
The Audit & Production Strategy
We kicked things off with a comprehensive media audit and competitive analysis, which immediately revealed an opportunity: Office Timeline could surpass the simple videos their direct competitors were using by adopting the sophisticated motion graphics and live presentation that industry leaders were doing.
But first we had two hurdles to clear:
- Professional animation is incredibly time-consuming to create from scratch
- Live-action shoots are a minefield of logistics and equipment needs
The Custom Template System
For the first challenge, we crafted an efficient Adobe Premiere editing process built on three pillars:
- Optimized Workflow and Structure - Pre-configured project architecture, standardized naming conventions and file organization, streamlined render settings for consistent output
- Pre-rendered Asset Library - Platform-specific intro animations, recurring transitions and CTA elements, branded motion graphics components
- Dynamic Animation System - After Effects expressions and bespoke MOGRTs enabling customization directly within Premiere, parameterized title cards, text overlays and highlight animations, modular graphic elements adaptable to different content needs
With this template, Office Timeline's 23 basic screen recordings (made over 7 years) grew to 36 professionally branded videos in just 2 years, a 6x production increase.
The Live-Action Studio
During our audit, we discovered RomSoft had bought some video equipment, but abandoned it due to poor results. But we realized their setup wasn't bad, just incomplete, so we used our production expertise to turn that around.
The Missing Components: professional audio capture, a proper acoustic environment, better lighting design, and a dedicated camera.
The Final Build: converted an available quiet space into a dedicated stage, supplemented existing audio-video equipment, designed custom 3D-printed props inspired by Office Timeline's milestone graphics.
Just like that, Office Timeline was shooting professional footage for the first time, using it to enhance the majority of their early product onboarding and training content.
The Strategic Value
Overall, we translated the need to "make better videos" into a fully built system that turned video from a resource-intensive special project into a reliable, repeatable marketing engine for Office Timeline, and the user feedback that came in afterwards confirmed its impact:
